Briggs Cooper

As a pianist, music director, and arranger, Briggs seamlessly navigates genres such as pop, Country, rock, blues, Motown, jazz, musical theater, and more. His versatility makes him equally at home behind a grand piano at a formal gala, igniting the stage with a high-energy band, or layering rich synth textures in the studio. 

While he is currently pursuing a degree in Commercial Music with a performance concentration at Samford University, his work featured on multiple EPs and singles and has opened for The Band Camino, The Brook and the Bluff, Walker Burroughs, and Black Jacket Symphony, and has been sought after for solo performances by Beck Taylor, the university president himself. When he plays, his passion for musical connection radiantly shines through in every note. His ability to shape sound and adapt to any musical landscape has earned him a place among the most dynamic emerging musicians today.

Briggs most recently served as music director,  keyboardist, and arranger for Birmingham artist Via Vicary and for LAKESHORE, Samford University's flagship commercial music ensemble and 2025 Winner of Downbeat Magazine's undergraduate band of the year.
